Search engine-catering headlines
Found at boingboing.net, a posting and links about how clever and witty headlines are vanishing to make articles easier to find through search engines.
Cnet's Elinor Mills has a great article on the demise of "pithy, witty and provocative headlines" -- the bread-and-butter of print publishing.
